My name is Tony Gray, I am a 4th Dan Black Belt Ex-British/English International competitor and the Karate-Do International National Coach. I am a CRB (Police Criminal Records Bureau) checked, qualified, insured Instructor and assessor, and have been teaching Karate since 1989, The Barking Dojo has been established since 1993. We are founder members of the National Governing Body (E.K.F) English Karate Federation the only governing body in England recognized by the ( B.K.F.) British Karate Federation & the (W.K.F.) World Karate Federation. The style we practice at the Barking/Dagenham Dojos blends Shotokan, Wado-Ryu & Kyokoshinkai, which my Instructor Tyrone Whyte 6th Dan, had been studying since 1970, under Hanshi Steve Arneil (8th Dan Kyokoshinkai) and later Sensei David Ticky Donovan OBE 8th Dan. Scientific knowledge and modern training methods have been incorporated into our system so as to continue our development as martial artists. We are a multi style Karate association but maintain very high standards throughout our group.
